The other morning, just as the sun was rising, I went for a walk in the park by my house. I sat on a bench, listened to the sounds of the dawning day, and watched a robin shake off after a bath in a mud puddle.
It was a great morning.

Looking at your pix…having that “wow, wish I managed to pull that off” feeling…well captured, well well shot, Peggy
Thank you, Liana! I wish I could say it was skill…but mostly it was just dumb luck.
ah, dumb luck! my native language!!
Really great! How did you manage to capture that? I’ve been trying for weeks now to a) get close enough and b) snap fast enough to get pictures of the blackbirds bathing in our little stream, but I just can’t do it. These are really fun! And very nice light, like Bill said.
Patience. I sat on that bench for a long time, just watching. After a while, he seemed to not notice me anymore and flew up on the bench next to me. I did use my macro lens and cropped the photos to size. I set my shooting speed to continuous and just let it go. The light was nice and I apparently got the shutter speed right for once. I have trouble with that. Glad you like them!
Great choice of lighting. I need to get up earlier.
The light was great. I really was a beautiful morning. I think I should do that more often.
My goodness. Talk about great timing. Lovely!!
Yes it was! Thanks you!
That’s fantastic!
Thank you!
